My name is Neale Austin, I am a photographer based in Brighton, East Sussex.
My fascination with photography stems from my love of landscapes and views of the earth. Whenever I have to fly you'll find me glued to the window staring out at the earth below.
When on a trip to Australia in 2002 I discovered the work of Peter Lik. The way that he managed to capture the Australian landscape and colours is what inspired me to learn to take photographs.
I have discovered however, that my style is more detail focussed and I haven't translated it in to landscapes, so I think Peter Lik is safe!
In my younger years I spent most of my spare time playing Squash, and so I am comfortable both in my own company and around sport. This, then, is where my photography career started.
I started Pixelation Photography in August 2008, and attended my first professional event as a photographer just 6 months later. Being around the buzz of sporting events is infectious, and producing images that people enjoy doubles the enjoyment.
I have since diversified my work in to portraits and products.
I really believe in the family, and I would love to bring family photos back in to the house on the wall or the shelf rather than just on Facebook! Everyone has a digital camera these days, but they just don't replace the photos that a professional photographer can produce.
|  . On the product side - I think there is something amazing in being able to get very close to an object, and see something that others don't. If you can succeed in making an average object interesting then that's something special.
